I recently received my first FabFitFun box and it was full of some nice goodies that fit my lifestyle interests! I do feel like I’m late to the FabFitFun box of goodies as I recall seeing some of my friends post photos about their goodies on social media. If you’ve received the FabFitFun box I’d love to know more about your experience!
By the way, I filmed an unboxing and review, which is available on YouTube for you to watch. Or you can read more below for my opinions on the FabFitFun Winter Seasonal Box. This review is not sponsored and I paid for my box. This post contains a referral link to FabFitFun and if you signup for a box through my link you will get a $10 discount on your first box and you’ll also help me out as I’ll receive a credit towards my next box. So thank you let’s scratch each other’s backs.
FabFitFun is a quarterly subscription box of beauty, wellness, fashion, and fitness products that are handpicked by the FabFitFun team for the upcoming season. People can sign up for a seasonal subscription at $49.99 a quarter or for an annual subscription at $179.99 (upfront) for four seasonal boxes. If you think this is a box that you would end up wanting for a full year, then signing up for the annual subscription would save you $19.97 a year. *shrug*
I received a winter seasonal box and it had 9 full-sized products that would make the winter just a bit more bearable. Although here in Phoenix we don’t have harsh snow like other places, the chilly wind can sting the face and of course I could also use help to keep my skin hydrated.
Members have the ability to customize their box by selecting certain products depending on which type of subscription you have (annual subscribers have more customization options). There are also opportunities to purchase add-ons. Annual subscribers have the added perk of receiving their seasonal box earlier than quarterly subscribers. For this winter seasonal box, I did not customize my box or pay for any add-ons. In fact, I did everything I could to avoid seeing previews of what to expect in the box – I wanted to be totally surprised about the contents.
What’s In A Box?
So, it appears that each seasonal box comes with a certain number of products that everyone receives and then a certain number of products in certain categories that people could have selected from. FYI I did not select any products and so this box is what FabFitFun decided to send to me. I will describe the products I received and then include a short description about the products that were other options.
Mark & Graham Colorblock Throw in Natural/Ivory, $49
Initially I thought this was a large scarf or poncho of some sort. I’m actually happy it is not a poncho as I don’t really wear ponchos but I use throws! This throw is really soft and it has already been claimed by one of my kids.
Every subscriber received this throw in either Gray/Ivory or Natural/Ivory.
Moroccan Gold Series Treatment Mask, $49
I love hair products especially those that will help my split ends from breaking too fast (yes I know nothing can really repair split ends). This hair mask takes about 5-7 minutes in the shower, which I can totally fit into my shower routine.
Subscribers received 1 of two options: Moroccan Gold Series Treatment Mask or Bearpaw Combo Set-Headband and Pop-Top Glove Duo ($45).
Oribe Gold Lust Dry Shampoo, $44
I don’t shampoo my hair every day and so a dry shampoo comes in handy when I want to freshen up my hair between long shampoos. Since I don’t use dry shampoo often I am sure this bottle will last me a while. I have yet to test this dry shampoo because I still have a bottle of dry shampoo in my bathroom.
Subscribers received one of three options: Oribe Gold Lust Dry Shampoo, H Halston Jewelry Portfolio ($48), or Lele Sadoughi Silver Circle Necklace ($49).
Sherrie Matthews Acupuncture Jade Stone Roller, $45
I was most excited to see a jade stone roller in my box! This face relaxation tool has been popping up in my social media feeds and magazines for a bit now and I was set on buying one for the new year! So, this worked out really really great. I really love the cooling sensation that comes when I roll the jade stone over my face. It is relaxing!
Subscribers received one of three options: Sherrie Matthews Acupuncture Jade Stone Roller, Richer Poorer Reina Over The Knee Textured Sock ($24), or PÜR Be Your Selfie Eyeshadow Palette ($36).
Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Meringue, $26
So I am not a daily lipstick wearer. I was a bit bummed this color was a bright red like on the package but this nude lipstick will be great to wear to a professional event.
Subscribers received one of three options: Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick, Chic & Tonic I’ll Coast To That! 4-Piece Coaster Set ($18), or Brooke Burke Fitness Body Sliders ($18).
Anthropologie X Mer-Sea & Co. Sea Whip Body Cream in Coconut Sugar, $24
This body cream has a subtle coconut smell that is not too overpowering. This is important to me because I am sensitive to strong fragrances but still enjoy a very light fragrance to my body products.
Subscribers received one of two options: Anthropologie X Mer-Sea & Co. Sea Whip Body Cream or Way of Will Elevate Essential Oil Set in Sweet Orange & Eucalyptus Oil ($31).
Thrive Causemetics Brilliant Eye Brightener in Stella, $24
My eye makeup game is only strong when I feel like it and so I don’t use very many eye makeup products daily. I do not have a eye highlighting stick and so this is a welcomed addition to my makeup arsenal. I have yet to try it so I’m unsure about it’s texture, consistency, and how it looks on my skin. But I’ll be trying it out soon!

AHAVA Hydration Cream Mask, $33
This cream mask is actually a face mask and could be applied until fully absorbed, rinsed off after 3-5 minutes, or left on overnight. I am more of a sheet mask user and so I’m interested in trying out a cream face mask. This face mask apparently is made with Dead Sea mud and for dry or very dry skin. I wonder if it will work on my elbows…

Blaq Hydrogel Eye Mask With Hyaluronic Acid, $29
Oooh! These eye masks are those small half moon shaped gel things that you place under your eye (can you tell I’m not a beauty blogger?). I really like these because they are convenient and fit well under my glasses so I can multi-task. These eye masks have activated charcoal, which is supposed to bind toxins to them (but I really don’t know). *shrug* I have yet to try these out but am looking forward to de-puffing some eyes.

Was It Worth It?
The total value of the winter seasonal box ranged from $290 – $335 depending on which products a person selected and received.
The total value of the box I received was $323! I paid $50 for the box and personally I think the value of this box was more than worth the price I paid. However, I also think that the value of this box works for me because I would have purchased a jade stone roller anyways. Sure there were other products in the box that I’m excited to try out but receiving the jade stone roller totally made this box worth it to me.
Personally, I enjoy subscription boxes and think they are fun. I really like the surprise and I enjoy learning about new brands and products that may fit my lifestyle.
Now $50 is quite a bit of money to pay towards a subscription box all at once (at least it’s only quarterly instead of monthly). This is in comparison to other beauty boxes that can be as low as $10 a month. However, aside from the fact that the total retail value of the products received far outweighs the price paid, this box gives you full sized products. With other beauty subscription services the product I was most excited to receive often was a sample size that would barely last. I can also see how this subscription service may not fit with someone’s lifestyle, for example a person who has sensitive skin or a person who has a set beauty regime that might not be looking to try new products.
Overall, I am blown away with the FabFitFun winter seasonal box and am curious if the spring seasonal box will have just as much oomph. What did you all think of this FabFitFun seasonal box? Were any of these products of interest to you? Have you received the FabFitFun seasonal box before? Are you a fan of subscription boxes or are you over them? I’d love to know your comments!
